Painting
done with this technique are created with the use of aerosol paints.
For this purpose the best are synthetic paints. Different kinds of
paint must not be combined as they might enter into chemical
reactions, which may lead to undesired effects. A painting done with
this technique must be created quickly as the short drying time may
interfere with further work on the painting. The drying time depends
on various factors, such as the air temperature, humidity, wind and
exposure to the sun. The technique consists in removing still not
dry external layers of the paint with a piece of thin paper. The
same tools are used as those used in creating oil or acrylic
paintings, i.e., brushes, sponges or painting spatulas. Spray
paintings may be done on various grunds, from paper or coated
cardboard of high substance, preferably over 300 gr/m2 ,
to canvas on a stretcher. After a painting is completely dry, it is
resistant to water, it is highly durable and stays glossy without a
change in colors.
I would
like to invite those willing to create painting with this technique
to buying a set of paints (10 pieces/different colors/each of 470
ml) that I use in my work.
All the
paintings featured on this site have been painted on 350 gr/m2
coated cardboard, their size is 35 x 50 cm, and the price is 30
Euros.
