ACRYLIC PAINTINGS

Paintings done with this technique are created with the use of acrylic paints. This technique is close to painting with oils, among others the same painting tools are used, it is easy to achieve all kinds of effects, from color penetration to spatial effects. Paint is also applied in coats, beginning with the things seen in the furthest distance and finishing with the foreground. Unlike oils, acrylic paints allow for a little less freedom in choosing the texture, they dry much more quickly, which makes it decidedly easier to create a painting. Despite the fact that acrylic paints are water-thinned, upon drying they become hard, resistant to water and other external factors. Paintings done with the use of this technique look very much like oil paintings.

All the paintings featured on this site have been painted on canvas placed on a stretcher.
